Notes:
Technology:
  • Make sure screens are labeled as they are for APEC
  • Is the tech transcript or hand raising technology available (to make requests known?
  • Do we want CDC at a separate site or to invite them to Seattle?
  • Need to limit the number of people in conference
  • OUGL 320 seats 16 people (20 if sharing microphones)
  • Might people view symposium from other locations on campus?  Streaming?
  • Instedd?  Waiting to hear back from Louis Fox about this
  • UW TV will be participating and will be invited to a Working Group Meeting after the tech meeting
  • There may be a conflict between the demand for sustainable technology (such as Access Grid) and the video footage.  Which is more important?  *Sustainable technology is most important.
  • We will bring UW TV into OUGL 320 prior to the Symposium to see how things will fit into the space (dress rehearsal)
  • What type of video?  * Same kind as last time
Health:
  • Update from Ann Marie about Lima
  • New Zealand will participate
  • Papua New Guinea receiving help from Australia and New Zealand (sounds like they will travel to Australia for the symposium)
  • ABAC people showed up with Ex. Director of ABAC and presented- they will be having a small and medium enterprise working group meeting in Taipei (Louis Fox will be attending this)
  • Peru is interested in participating in symposium (this will require 3 more hours of time zone change)
  • Yuzo has the contact for Peru
Symposium Details:
  • Concurrent Power Point Presentations
  • Business/Health present together- 10 minutes for each economy
  • We need to be mindful of time
  • We need to have the tech. contacts ourselves
