Possible contribution from Microsoft if we use Conference XP (talk to Ann Marie, Louis, and Jacqueline about this possibility)

Nedra updated the website so that the public can see

Nedra needs idea about what should be in the password protected section (Yuzo and Matt have provided suggestions)

  • Times for each participating country
  • Putting up drafts might take away from actually symposium
  • A list of participants
  • Actual times of participation
  • Documents (Invitation, Follow-up letter, etc.)
  • Not names of people or contact information

Do we want a theme or topic? Were there themes last time? (no)

Health and business should give a single presentation, jointly crafted.

Need to get Emi involved because we are traveling some (PNG, CDC, Brunei, Brunei Shell Oil)
Can we travel Brunei?

Indonesia... Could they participate from Jakarta or do they need to be traveled?

We are getting actual geographic addresses from the participants. Yuzo has told participants that they will be invited to a University facility to participate.

Technology will be sending out a quick survey to tech. contacts

We should know the joining and leaving times for participants

Have participants go in order of time zones and then alphabetically

When should we check in with the Steering Committee about progress? Web page should be a good method of communication.

Since it is a menu approach by topic, topics could be clustered together within time zone groups.

Questions after presentations... 5 minutes after 15 minute presentation

APEC Communication through Alex and Natasha: we need to establish one contact (Alex suggested Natasha)

Send economies that have not responded a letter saying "In light of your non response, we are assuming you will not be participating in the symposium" (Matt)

One last email "Final Reminder" before editing spreadsheet to "non response"

Reschedule weekly meetings early in the morning beginning in April...

David asked about speed test- Singapore is best (politically)

In early April, we will begin with the tech side. We need to plan for people that are traveling.
