Is there a roll of SC members? We should ask them to take notes...
Ann Marie to give the closing remarks...

Dry Run Details:

5 PM meeting to go over the technology
6 PM Dry Run with the Techs (everyone except N.Z.)

Presentations:
10 as of today
Longest presentation has 14 slides
7 outstanding: PRC, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippians, Viet Nam, US, Canada

Update on Economies:
Australia: Just changed presenter. Andrew Howard sent an email about PNG folks encouraging them to bring warm clothing. He'll pick them up at the airport and they asked him to reserve their rooms.

Brunei: staying at the Peninsular.

Canada: presentation by COB tomorrow.

China: running late because of earthquake

Indonesia: waiting for their presentation (by the end of the week). They have 4 people going to Singapore (2 of whom health will be funding). Their flights and travel have been finalized by APEC.

Japan: Good final presentation. Health and tech are working out well.

Korea: All is well.

Malaysia: Pending. Emi working on travel when they confirm.

Mexico: good presentation. Tech good.

N.Z.: Mark Jacobs will not be able to attend. Ann Marie suggested that EunSuk call him (rather than email). We don't have a name or presentation or anything? Tech has been in touch with Andrew McKay for weeks (he was introduced to us by Julie Watson- a contact of Jacqueline's). Can Julie recommend a health contact? Can we find out the contact info for Mark Jacobs and ask Julie Watson to call and find out what he has delegated? Karalee will ask Julie Watson to contact Mark Jacobs IF EunSuk is not able to contact him. Also, Ann Marie suggested we Google Fred McGrath.

PNG: Good presentations

Peru: Things are looking good (Gladys and Jose will be there). Yuzo will copy Patty on email to Gladys.

Philippians:
Konki will help us get in touch with Dr. Montoia. Konki has not been responsive in the past few weeks. Health will contact her to follow up about the Philippians. Ann Marie suggested Emi write a veiled threat about not paying for travel if we don't get their presentation. Yuzo asked Konki to make contact with the WHO office.

Singapore: Singapore has moved their location. We should confirm that all the health people know- they should. Stanly put Ari in touch with the guy from the new location (we think this is the same person- Ari will confirm).
Ari to verify that the tech has not changed for Singapore- just the venue
Soo Sim had been great. Rod Hoff has suggested they cater lunch after (AMK to send a note)

Taipei: All is well.

Thailand: UNDP - new tech contact. New guy just called Ari, and it looks like a go. Old place also confirmed. We need to make sure the Health people know where to go. This will cost $100- Koji will not pay it. We'll pay it, but we need to figure out how. Is there a contact? Yuzo will go through Koji and give Emi the information so she can do it.

US: US: Dept. of Health, GA with a private partner that they've been working with.
We found out through CDC (they will be doing their presentation at the CDC facility).
Matt is interacting with CDC. David Naboro cannot attend but he is sending Michelle Barrett who will be presenting in his stead. Pat O'Carrol has been asked to attend here as a back up (by AMK)

Viet Nam: Matt has been calling and leaving messages. The tech confirmed that they'll be there for the dry run. It has been 2-3 weeks since anyone has called Matt back from the health side. Health and tech have not been connected. What can we do through Koji through the WHO office or through the embassy?
  • Ann Marie to send a note saying that we are waiting and that we are concerned.
  • Ann Marie to make the introduction between health and tech
  • Ari will find out about location
Action Items: Dry Run Today: Technology at 5 PM and actual dry run at 6 PM
Action Items: Debbie to make tent cards communicating 5 and 10 minutes (perhaps color coded)

Debbie to make 3 different sizes name tents for the dry run today to see what font works best

Emi to give Konki's info to EunSuk.

Ann Marie to get Dr. Wise's talking points to Emi who will send it to her assistant

Re. Vietnam:
  • Ann Marie to send a note saying that we are waiting and that we are concerned.
  • Ann Marie to make the introduction between health and tech
  • Ari will find out about locationRe. New Zealand
EunSuk will call Vincent to get the phone number to get a hold of Mark Jacobs to see if he's delegated this to anyone. If that doesn't work, Karalee can call Julie to try to get a hold of Mark Jacobs.

Agenda with Pacific Daylight Time next to the Zulu time.

Sherry to provide refreshments: for the 3rd floor only

Ari to confirm that the tech contact for Singapore is the same person and that only the location has changed
