 | *Date:* | 1/17/08 |
 | *Team Name:* | APEC EINet Working Group |
 | *Attendees:* | Ann Marie Kimball, Carl Osaki, Karalee Woody, Matt French, Eun Suk yang, Ari Tencate, Debbie Johnson, Nedra Pautler |
 | *Agenda:* | 1. Update on outcome of the Singapore Meeting \\
 2. Update on the activities since then (from the public health and business/ private side) \\
 3. Next steps |
 | *Notes:* | *Singapore meeting* was very successful. They came up with the idea of having each country give an example of how business/health might collaborate.  Conference calls didn't work for the Singapore meeting.  While in Singapore, they developed the outline for the agenda for the Virtual Symposium. \\
The symposium will be on May 29th and 30th. \\
Minutes from the Singapore meeting have gone out to the Steering Committee. \\
 \\
Working on an invitation to ABAC. (Koji has been helping with this.) Invitations have gone out. Matt will be announcing this in a bulletin. Invitation was to be from ABEC to their members. (ABEC members will be more familiar with the idea of pandemic preparedness.) \\
Yuzo and Matt will coordinate to follow up on the health working group invitations. \\
Jacquelene and Louis would like a list of people who are attending by the end of January. \\
For our next meeting, it would be good to get Louis and Jacqueline with us either by phone or in person. Our next meeting will be on Thursday, February 14th at 8:00 AM in OUGL 320. \\
Ann Marie is going to Thailand and will be able to do some follow-up there and will need some materials (from Matt). \\
Meeting in Lima, Puru on the 26th and 27th of Feb (either Ann Marie or Louis should be there) \\
*Technology Update*: Karalee has reservations about Access Grid because it may not be available long term. It would be best not to change the technology every time we do this. It is important to find out what the economies have in terms of technology. Ann Marie says that we have connections with Google and IBM. \\
We need to have information for the tech people so that we can contact them and discuss what technology they have. \\
Carl Osaki mentioned that he would like to know what technology glitches could be so that moderator will be able to plan for them. \\
We will have a back-up plan on the day of the Symposium. \\
 \\
*Virtual Symposium to be on May 29th and 30th* \\
Target number of participants for Symposium is 13 or 14. \\
Participants from UW will be in OUGL 320 \\
We will communicate with participants via email and password protected webpage (attached to existing site).  Nedra will be working on this. \\
 \\

 | *Action Items:* | Debbie to put invitation letter on the wiki \\
Debbie to try to schedule next meeting for February 14th at 8:00 a.m. (Jacqueline and Louis should be there if at all possible\- by phone or in person) \\
Make sure the letters get out (Eun Suk to make sure these get out to the business side) \\
Matt to put the summary of the event in an announcement \\
Ann Marie to get back to Peru regarding meeting to firm up attendance \\
Page added to APEC EINet website (with access key) for those participating in the Virtual Symposium (Nedra) \\
