About the service
In response to the rising popularity of Wordpress blog sites at the UW, UW-IT, UW Marketing and other partners have launched UW Blogs Network, an easy-to-use blog service for faculty and staff. The new service cost is covered in the basic services bundle. The UW Blogs Network uses an official UW theme. Service administration is provided by UW-IT.
The new service is easily activated through the "computing services" page, and makes it easier to use Wordpress by providing UW-specific themes, NetID login support, up-to-date plug-ins, and a blog framework. The site, content, and administration are up to the site owner. The service is currently live and accepting new signups.
The service is available to UW faculty and staff for use to support UW activities and is subject to state laws and UW policies.
The service can be accessed at blogs.uw.edu
