On September 14, 2016, UW-IT will have a Leap Forward Day focused on Strategy Into Action (see Kelli's blog post).

You will have a chance to build and share the plan for your service, provide input to other services and build a compelling story to inspire action.  We will capture both your Strategy on a Page and your compelling story along with your feedback.  This is a chance for everyone in UW-IT to engage in the strategy management practice.

You can participate in this activity in either of the following two ways.

The first way you can participate is by joining us in Haggett Hall for an all-day facilitated pilot session.  We will pick a few Business Services and develop a Strategy on a Page document and compelling story for each one.  You can also download the resources and instructions and hold a similar session with your team.

Outcomes:  Either way,

  • Create a wiki page for your Strategy on a Page and Compelling Story (see note below)
  • Provide Feedback on the Strategy Into Action day

You do not have to create a Strategy on a Page. You could create a different artifact for your service like a brick diagram, capability map with roadmap, a mesa diagram or other. Check out the Itana Wiki for other ideas. If you do create something else, please follow the instructions for creating a link to your artifact in this space in the wiki.
